“I don’t think that I achieved the star status with just one or two movies. There is a long way to go for me. It sounds good when someone calls us a star but it comes with a huge responsibility which is tough to handle. There will be a lot of pressure. I find happiness in doing what I like the most and I have to prove myself as an actor. I will work harder to entertain the audiences,” she is quoted saying.
The actress immediately started work soon after Mahanati and has been shooting for her forthcoming projects. The latest buzz is that she will be heading to Las Vegas, along with her co-star Vijay, for Thalapthy 62.
According to reports, the shoot there will be a brief one. The team has mostly been shooting in Chennai and even Kolkata.
Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures, Thalapathy 62 Keerthy and Vijay collaborating for the second time after Bairavaa. The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Prem Kumar, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, and has music by AR Rahman, who had incidentally composed Vijay’s last film Mersal.
The film promises to be high on actions with some commendable stunts. It is slated for a Diwali release this year.
Apart from this, Keerthy also has Saamy Square and Sandakozhi 2 in the pipeline.
