Speaking about the film, Karthi said that we need more village concepts to reiterate the importance of family in our audience. He added that village stories are unique, and that we need more of those types of films. Karthi then shared his experience working with actors like Soori and Rajkiran. He shared that Soori has a twin brother back in Madurai, who owns and runs a chain of restaurants in that city.
Karthi also shared about his co-star Aditi Shankar. Including the director Muthiah, everybody who spoke on stage shared one common thing about the debutante actor. They all shared that the newbie is extremely hyper-active and that she is capable of cheering up the entire cast very easily. Karthi specifically shared that she adapted very quickly as an actor, and said that she worked hard and sincerely on the film.
Karthi then shared a few small one liner jokes that Aditi used to constantly share on the sets of Viruman. He shared, “Aditi asked me what is the country with the most rich people? I was confused and googled for the answer. She however asked me not to think a lot. I then gave up and asked her the answer. She said, Bangladesh (Bungalow-Desh), because it has Bungalow in its name itself. She started this fun and jokes at the Pooja itself.”
Aditi Shankar has now signed for Maaveeran co-starring Sivakarthikeyan. She also starred in Chennai’s anthem for the 44th Chess Olympiad. She requested all the Tamil cinema audience to watch Viruman in the theatres, and also asked them to give her a warm welcome into the Kollywood industry. Karthi on the other hand is currently also awaiting the release of Ponniyin Selvan and Sardar.
