Now, the actress is back with her next film which is produced by hubby, Suriya's 2D Entertainment. The movie is directed by National award winning director Bramma and will see veteran actresses Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan in crucial roles.
Jyothika's character and her look was strictly under wraps. Now the makers have released a poster where Jyothika is seen in a stylish avatar! Jyothika is set to play a documentary filmmaker and the movie has been titled Magalir Mattum. The makers have confirmed that this film is not a remake of the 1994 blockbuster hit which starred Revathi, Urvashi and Rohini in lead roles. The film was then produced by Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films and Kamal even played a cameo in the movie.
When Suriya approached Kamal Haasan for the title, Kamal was more than happy to forgo it to his Vettaiyadu Vellaiyadu co-star Jyothika.
There is also a buzz that Suriya will play a cameo in the film, but director Bramma has not yet taken a final call on the matter. The music for the movie is composed by the talented, Ghibran.
