Hardik Pandya Apologises For His Sexist Comments!

The cricketer made those comments on talkshow Koffee With Karan!

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya recently appeared on the much-celebrated talk show Koffee With Karan along with fellow cricketer KL Rahul. And while the show appeared all chilled out with the sportsmen putting their guard down, netizens were not happy with some of the comments and attitude they displayed, particularly referring to Pandya.

Speaking to the host Karan Johar, he shared details such as: “When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, “Main karke aya hai aaj (I had sex today),” and “At a party my parents asked me acha tera wala (women) kaun sa hai [who is your interest here?] so I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women) and they were like waah proud of you beta.”

The cricketer made it look as though having sex with women were his conquests and many were unimpressed with his brazen nature. The two players were slammed by BCCI as well, having given 24 hours to respond to why they made such statements. Chairman of the Committee of Administrators (COA) that runs the BCCI, Vinod Rai, said: “We have sent showcause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation.”

Hardik has since taken to Instagram to apologise for his remarks and said that he was ‘caught up in the moment’ and hadn’t thought of what he had said.

Meanwhile, here are some people, including commentator Harsha Bhogle, adding their two cents on what Hardik and Rahul said at the interview.
