Hansika To Be The Heroine For Suriya’s Next With Vignesh Shivan?

Vignesh Shivan’s next film Thaanaa Serndha Kootam will see Suriya team up Vignesh for the first time. Vignesh has earlier made Simbu’s Poda Podi and Vijay Sethupathi’s blockbuster Naanum Rowdy Than. It was said that Nayan will be seen in Thaanaa Serndha Kootam with Suriya. However, sources close to the star say that Nayanthara is not a part of the project anymore. Vignesh Sivan was keen on casting his lady love but Suriya who had recently given the nod for the project is looking for a new face rather than Nayanthara.

Suriya and Nayan have acted together in 3 movies, Ghajini, Aadhavan and Mass. While Ghajini was a blockbuster, the film was a hit due to Asin’s performance and the other two films, Aadhavan and Mass, failed miserably at the box office. So Suriya is not interested to act with Nayan and is looking for a fresh face. Suriya was said to take the final call about the female lead.

 

Now sources close to the film suggest that Hansika is likely to be on board as another lead heroine. Suriya and Hansika have earlier teamed up for Singam 2 where Hansika played a schoolgirl who had a crush on Suriya. However the main female lead has not been finalized and the makers are apparently looking for a new face.

Thaanaa Serndha Kootam will be produced by KE Gnanavelraja under Studio Green banner. Also, Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi has been roped in to compose music for this movie.
