From Thriller To Comedy: Must-Watch Movies In Theaters For This Long Weekend!

Every year April 14 is celebrated as Tamil new year. It is also a popular holiday, as summer holidays follow. It is also a popular one for kollywood movie releases as well. This year, it’s going to be the biggest box office clash as six movies have been announced to release on April 14 for the occasion of Tamil New Year. Take a look at the movie list and go watch it in the theater. 

Rudhran:

 

The main release will be “Rudhran,” starring Raghava Lawrence, and additional theaters are anticipated for the movie. With Rudhran, Raghava Lawrence is making his on-screen comeback after four years. Priya Bhavani Shankar portrays the lead role with Sarathkumar playing the villain. The movie is directed by Kathiresan.

Thiruvin Kural: 

 

With his first release of 2023, Arulnithi is back with another thriller. Directed by Harish Prabhu, in “Thiruvin Kural,” Arulnithi plays a difficult part. The film’s music was composed by Sam CS, and Aathmika plays the leading lady. 

Soppana Sundari: 

 

The movie ‘Soppana Sundari’, directed by SG Charles, features Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role, alongside Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, Deepa Shankar, Karunakaran, Sathish, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, and Sunil Reddy. The story centers around a young woman who wins a high-end car in a lottery, and the movie is said to be filled with humorous elements.

Tamilarasan:

 

Tamilarasan, starring Vijay Antony, is set to release on April 14. The movie, which is directed by Babu Yogeswaran and stars Vijay Antony as a cop. It is centered around the life of a middle-class man. Suresh Gopi, Sonu Sood, Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, Robo Shankar, Munishkanth, Kasthuri, and Sangeetha all had important roles in the film while Ramya Nambesan plays the female lead. 

Shaakuntalam: 

 

The Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie “Shakuntalam,” in which Samantha stars, was originally scheduled for release in February. However, because of a post-production holdup, the movie was delayed. Now it is set to release on April 14 and is now actively being promoted. In the movie adaptation of Kalidasa’s well-known play Abhijnana Sakuntalam, Samantha plays the titular role. Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla play supporting roles alongside Dev Mohan, who plays Dushyanta as male lead. 

Ripupbury:

 

Master Mahendran, who is well-known for playing a child artist in over 100 films, has recently started playing hero parts. His upcoming film is titled “Ripupbury.”AK is the director of this horror thriller movie.Also,  Noble K James, Maari, Srrini, Kaavya Arivumani, and others played important roles.
