From Late 20s To Late 60s: Kajal Aggarwal REVEALS Her Role In Kamal Haasan Starrer Indian 2!

Amazing!

Unlike her ultra-chic fashion choices, her rules in life are very simple. The only three things she believes in are her films, her family and her promising future. She has some of the most promising roles in her kitty and simultaneously has taken the biggest decision in her personal life as well. Kajal Aggarwal, the newest bride in town, bares it all in this conversation with Radhika Ramesh.

Kajal has been in the film industry for over a decade now but she believes that with each film, her choices become wiser. Kajal also talks about her personal life, love, laughter, friendship, marriage and more. Her beliefs in life keep her positive and secure with a healthy chin-up attitude.

In an exclusive interview with JFW, Kajal opened up about her role in Indian 2. Remember the time we were spellbound watching KamalHaasan and Sukanya sport the role of an old couple, setting the country straight, in director Shankar’s Indian? As we await the magic yet again onscreen, Kajal opens up about her role, the challenges and the brilliance of the story on the whole. “I received a call from Shankar sir when initial casting for Indian 2 had begun. I then heard the story and the initial draft of the film and that excited me. This will be particularly very challenging for me because I will be sporting the role of a woman in her 20s to a woman in her late 60s. To portray this entire range is exciting,” gushes Kajal. She further adds, “And, I mean, to work with someone as legendary as Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is a one-of-a-kind experience on its own.”

Her working rapport with director Shankar is also a strong one: “He is simply a legend. He loves perfection and I honestly think that is mantra is Eat, Sleep, Create – that’s how brilliant his mind is as a director and we see that in all his films.”

Due to the unfortunate accident on the sets of the film followed by the pandemic, Kajal has not shot much of the film as yet. “Most of the technicians who need to work on my looks are from Hollywood and due to the lockdown, we were unable to fly any of them down. Also, the film demands a huge set and that cannot be created with just 50 or 70 people. So, we will have to wait until everything gets better,” she reveals.
