She was reportedly returning home from a party that was organised at a star hotel in MRC Nagar.
Reports also stated that she was booked for drunken and rash driving, having paid Rs 3500 as fine. However, the dancer took to social media to respond to these reports.

Continue writing and I continue to live stronger,” she wrote, followed by a series of tweets saying what happened. “The one who created this fake news he was press reporter who was caught drunk and driving. According to a few sources, a case under Section 185 (driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs) of the Motor Vehicles Act has been filed but the matter is being blown out of proportion.
Gayathri Raghuram is the daughter of dance master Raghuram.
