The poster is that of Arvind Swami, one of the protagonists, who plays a man named Varadan in the film. And he looks angry and bruised, perhaps in the middle of slashing someone.

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film has been making waves, especially for its mixed bag cast. The film stars Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, STR, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh. Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Film Productions, the film went on floors in February and the team shot in foreign locations including Abu Dhabi and Serbia.
Photos from the sets of the films have got people excited for the movie, as it features some actors Mani Ratnam has never worked with.
While little is known about what the film is about and the characters in it, photos from the sets shared by members of the team show that it’s a serious drama with Jyothika playing an important role.
The music will be composed by AR Rahman and lyrics by Vairamuthu. After Kaatru Veliyidai, this is Mani Ratnam’s first film.
