Now after doing 30+ films across languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, the actor has become one of the busiest actors of the Indian film industry. Back in 2018, when she had just completed Spyder and Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, she spoke about Love and Marriage to JFW in an exclusive interview.
“I totally believe in the institution of marriage and I believe in love. I think the word “love” is the most abused word right now, unfortunately, since our effort to truly understand the value of it has diminished. I am sure I will find a good marriage and love in my life, whenever that is.” Since she displayed such clarity of thought, we could not but resist asking her about her ‘ideal man’. There was laughter in her response: “With my list of qualities my mom and brother say that I will not find anybody!” Still, we pressed further, hoping to see the mental picture of this ‘someday man’ and we were not disappointed: “Basic…. My first requirement is that the person should be taller than 6 feet because I am tall. And when I wear heels I wouldn’t want to be looking down on him. Intellect is very important for me. I can’t handle false ego and puffery. He cannot for sure be a lazy person; he has to be a man who would love his work, someone active. He can’t be someone who sleeps till 11 in the morning. But all this is secondary; it is first difficult to find a man 6 feet tall!”
Not many celebrities talk about their marriage especially when their career is at its pinnacle. Rakul Preet Singh is an exception. The actress has a clear understanding of marriage and knows exactly what she wants. If we look at the above explanations that the actor gave, we can now perfectly fit Jackky Bhagnani into her frame. The duo announced that they’re together in 2021, with an Instagram post.

In the same interview, she was also asked what her dream wedding looked like? “I’d like to have a destination wedding, with just the people that matter (my close friends and immediate family) and have a party weekend, meaning the wedding happens through the weekend. That’s my idea!” When she was asked about her dream Honeymoon destination she added that it does not matter as far as the company is great.
Rakul is currently working on a Bilingual Tamil and Telugu film titled 31 October Ladies Night. She is also filming for Thank God in Hindi, co-starring Ajay Devgn and Siddarth Malhotra in lead roles. She is awaiting the release of Mission Cinderalla, Doctor G and Chattriwaali in Hindi, and Ayalaan in Tamil.
