EXCLUSIVE: “I want to get married, have kids and all of that” Actress Trisha on Wedding!

With a career spanning twenty years and over sixty films, it’s safe to say that Trisha Krishnan better known as Trisha is a reigning star. The actress, model, animal rights activist is a household name in Tamil Nadu.

In an industry that epitomizes patriarchy, where actors continue to reign as heroes for a minimum of three decades while actresses rise and fall in the blink of an eye, things have turned out to be a little different for this firebrand. It has been over a decade and she has still got what it takes– women love her and want to be like her, and men still go a bit wonky when they see her on screen, they really cannot get enough of her. After Sridevi, she is probably the only one who carried off the half sari with such elegance; having said that, her sexy, smouldering avatar is no less. Trisha’s story is not very different – she is a college student turned beauty queen turned super heroine. What is different is that all of us are still under the spell of her x-factor.

We look back at our 2015 cover story interview with the actress. Here are a few extracts from the interview.

Is marriage anywhere on Trisha’s radar?

I definitely want to get married but I don’t know if I am really ready. People can say what they want, question marriage as much as they can, but I think it is necessary and it completes you as a person. So I want to get married, have kids and all of that.

It is also about finding the right person, isn’t it?

Of course! And even if you have found the right person, you cannot just jump into it, right? I mean, it is marriage at the end of the day and you cannot be wishy-washy about it. You have to wake up to the same person, every single day, the rest of your life. So it is important to be sure.

On the work front the actress has six upcoming projects.  It’s clear that Trisha has no plans of taking a break and is all set to break barriers with her conventional and unconventional roles. With her charm and smile she still rules the hearts of the audience.
