Everyone Sees Me As An Actor After Baahubali: Tamannaah Bhatia!

It was a great character!

The brave warrior Avanthika will never be forgotten and will go down in history as one of the most aptly written characters in films. Tamannaah, who donned the role of Avanthika in the Baahubali series was very impressive was very loved. She shined bright alongside Anushka Shetty, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. Tamannaah did not have many worthwhile films to do after Baahubali. She got back on track with her successful film ‘F2’ alongside Venkatesh Daggubati and Sai Dharam Tej. She is also awaiting the release of another woman-centric film in Tollywood which is the remake of Bollywood’s blockbuster film ‘Queen’.

Talking about imrpovising acting, Tamannaah said, “I was someone who was very scared of heights. I was not someone who was very adventurous. Because I had to do a lot of stunts, and the physicality of the character was very essential in Baahubali, my orientation helped me in my personal life. I became a lot more adventurous and brave not just in terms of what I do physically but also in terms of my decision making. People started looking me at not just as a commercial heroine, but also an actor, which is essentially what I came here to do. That was what excited me about having a film career, that I could play different people and characters.”

She further added, “I consciously now choose to do movies which have something interesting for me to do. As an actor, one has to take that plunge… Some of it works, some of it doesn’t. But keep going at it. I think Baahubali gave me an attitude to be able to take risks. There’s no one kind of a movie. I am doing quite a mixed bag. I am working on a period film (Sye Raa…), I will soon shoot a film with Vishal, which is a completely different characterisation in the Army backdrop. So I am excited about that.”

Tamannaah briefly got introduced into Bollywood but didn’t take up many films. To that she said, “I am not working on anything in Hindi as of now. I am open to doing a lot of Hindi work. But I don’t want to do something just because it’s Hindi. I want to do a project because it maybe a good film to be a part of. Sye Raa… will be released in Hindi as well. It is mounted like a pan-India film.”

Well, we always love better roles for women in better films!
