The anchor turned actress had a lot to say about self-confidence and standing out which will give a daily dose of empowerment required.

Here is what she said:

In an interview with JFW, VJ Ramya opens up about her divorce which occurred quite soon after her wedding. She said, “I have no regrets in life and I do not believe that I will ever regret this decision. Everybody looks up to marriage for different reasons. While some get married for life security purposes, others choose to marry for kids. I want to be married and be a part of a family for right reasons such as happiness, togetherness and lead a peaceful life. I do not wish to comment further as that will affect the people involved (good, bad or ugly). However, divorce is not a big deal like people portray it to be.”

“Of course, it wasn’t easy for me to come out of it but the work I do demands more strength and power. I was extremely depressed and it wasn’t cake walk to me. Hence, I diverted myself to fitness and powerlifting which indeed helped me a lot. However, who decides the duration one must take to come out of something negative? The Society is truly hypocritical and unfair,” she said.

She further added that there are worse things in this world that one must comment on and try to fix rather than judging her for getting divorced too soon. “If something doesn’t work out its personal and has a reason. I don’t understand why the society makes it such a big deal?”

She truly has a valid point. Ramya won a bronze medal at the district level for powerlifting and is continuously working hard in the fitness stream.
