Director Sudha Kongara who has previously done Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Pottru, recently won the National Award for best screenplay for the latter. As the film bagged several awards, she shared a note on Instagram with heartfelt thanks to all. She had written in the caption, “For the loved ones on land and in the skies…heartfelt thanks.”

The director is currently working on the Hindi remake of the film along with Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan.  Suriya, who starred in the original is to make a cameo in this film. After this film, Sudha is to join hands with the producers of KGF, who made the announcement a while ago. The actor and the screenplay of the film is however not revealed yet.

Now, in a recent interview, the director was asked if there are any chances of collaborating with Ajith she said that there are chances of collaboration with the actor. However, she also said that a script is not finalised yet and therefore cannot get in talks to work with the actor.

Ajith, who was last seen in Valimai, is now doing a film with H Vinoth, currently titled AK61. He has also committed AK62 with director Vignesh Shivan who recently did Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal.
