Director Gautham Menon OPENS UP About How Simbu And Trisha’s Chemistry Worked Out In VTV!

Trisha and Simbu’s chemistry was an audience favourite!

Gautham Menon’s Vinaithaandi Varuvaya was one of the largest blockbuster hits Tamil cinema has seen with regards to a romantic film. The music, the storyline, the breezy narrative everything worked out just perfectly to create a spectacular film. But what worked all this magic together were the leads of the film, Simbu and Trisha. This onscreen Jodi were so successful that their chemistry instantly turned out to be an audience favourite.

But how did this chemistry churn out? In a recent interview, director Gautham Menon talked about the large contribution of the actor who made several scenes better with his own thought process that not just worked out the chemistry but also massively improvised several solo scenes as well.

“The scene where Simbu meets Trisha in Kerala beautifully worked out. There is a lot of contribution of Simbu in that scene, Manoj beautifully filmed the scene, Trisha effortlessly acted in that scene. In that scene, I remember a dialogue ‘promises are meant to be broken’ which was in English, there are usually many English dialogues in my films. There were a few dialogues Simbu loved and delivered them beautifully. The dialogue ‘promises are meant to be broken’ he said he will say it in Tamil. I didn’t have any problem in saying that dialogue in Tamil. He on the spot said ‘Sathyam Panrade Odaikaradu than’ It was literal translation from English as there is nothing like that in Tamil. It was beautiful when he said it and I let it be there. The whole sequence is beautiful,” stated GVM.

The film also starred VTV Ganesh, Kitty Babu and Samantha Akkineni in pivotal roles.
