Popular director Gautham Menon met with an accident in Chennai’s Shollinganallur signal at 3:30am. A lorry collided with the director’s car while he was travelling to Mahabalipuram. However, Gautham escaped with minor injuries.

 

 

Images from the scene of the accident show the car that Gautham was travelling in to be badly damaged. The luxury car, which collided head on with the lorry, is barely recognizable. Although the car seems intact inside, the impact of the collision is clear, as the front of the car is totally damaged.

On the professional front, the director is currently wrapping up shooting for Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram, and will soon begin filming his highly-anticipated film, Ondraga, which will see stars from all four south Indian movies. His long-awaited film, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, which stars Dhanush and newbie Megha Akash in the lead, is also in the pipeline, and will hopefully see a release soon.
