Gymnast, Dipa Karmakar who finished 4th at the Rio Olympics 2016 welcomed with open hands at her hometown Agartala in Tripura. Even though Dipa did not win India a medal, she’s done the country immense proud as Dipa is the first Indian woman to participate in an Olympic gymnastic event! Dipa and her coach Bisweshwar Nandi received a warm welcome when they reached Agartala. As Dipa went on an open jeep, crowds cheered all along her way!
