DID YOU KNOW: Nayanthara Had Rejected This Huge Film And Here’s Why!

Nayanthara has a different choice for scripts these days!

Nayanthara has lately been choosing different scripts and doing some good roles. Her upcoming films seem quite interesting, especially her next with RJ Balaji titled Mookuthi Amman. As the RJ-turned-actor released stills from the film, he was quoted saying, “Just like how Ajith sir’s presence helped in conveying the strong message to the society in #NerkondaPaarvai, a big star like #Nayanthara’s presence in #MookuthiAmman would help us in getting a good reach.”

However, there have been some roles the actress has rejected and some of them have been some real big-budget films. One of them is apparently the remake of Kangana Ranaut’s Bollywood blockbuster film Queen. The remake of this film was being produced by actor/producer Thiyagaran and directed by Ramesh Arvind in all the four South languages. Nayanthara was considered to do it for Tamil and Telugu. However, Nayanthara had to turn in down. Apparently, the actress was short on dates and hence, she had to decline it despite producer Thiyagarajan insisting that she play the lead under his production.

After, Nayanthara turned it down, Trisha was approached and the actress had turned it down as well. After this, Kajal and Tamannaah were approached for the Tamil and Telugu version and the rest is history. The film still awaits a release.

On the professional front, Nayanthara has RJ Balaji’s Mookuthi Amman, Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal also starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni and Netri Kann produced under Vignesh Shivan’s home banner.
