Aathmika is a Tamil actor, who started her career with Meesaya Murukku, where she co-starred with HipHop Aadhi. She rose to fame with that film itself, but has only been doing selected films ever since. After Meesaya Murukku, she starred in Kodiyil Oruvan, where she acted alongside Vijay Anthony. Today, Vaibhav’s Kaatteri has released, where she has also performed as one of the main characters.

However, the actor decided to tweet today, and her tweet has stirred up a controversy against nepotism.  “It’s good to see the privileged getting the easy way through the ladder while the rest Paathukalam,” she wrote on her official Twitter handle. Many have called her out that she has intended this tweet indirectly attacking director Shankar’s daughter Aditi Shankar. Aditi, who is yet to see the release of her debut Viruman with Karthi, has signed her second, Maaveran, with Sivakarthikeyan. She also recently appeared in Tamil Nadu’s Chess Olympiad Anthem video. While Aathmika did not name anybody in her tweet, netizens have stirred up the nepotism controversy.
