Biopics have become a thing of the season for Bollywood now, with movies like MS dhoni, Mary Kom and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag coming up. Following the current trend, it is official that actress Shraddha Kapoor will be taking up the role of the Badminton player, Saina Nehwal which was originally offered to Deepika Padukone. Shraddha is already going to play the role of Haseena Parkar in the biopic, Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai.

While this is going on, talks have been that Deepika Padukone is to be asked to play the role of the Olympic winning Badminton player, PV Sindhu in an upcoming movie. The film which is to be produced by Sonu Sood, is keen to have his Happy New Year costar, Deepika play the lead role as the Badminton player. In an interview with SpotboyE, Sonu Sood said, “We haven’t locked yet on who will get into PV Sindhu’s shoes. In all probability, the heroine and the director will be finalized and announced around the same time”

The role would be pretty apt for the beautiful actress as her father Prakash Padukone himself used to be a great Badminton player. Deepika Padukone too is a good Badminton player and thus would be the correct choice to play Sindhu.

Deepika Padukone is currently working on the upcoming periodic film, Padmavati directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She will be seen in the role of Rani Padmavati alongside Ranveer Singh as Allaudin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Si.
