D Imman, a music composer, announced on Wednesday that he and his wife Monicka Richard had been divorced for more than a year on social media The statement was posted on the composer’s social media handle, ‘Annaatthe.’ “I have legally divorced by mutual consent as of November 2020 and we are no longer husband and wife,” he wrote in a lengthy note announcing the split.

The couple had been divorced since November 2020, but Imman decided to make the divorce official now. After nearly 13 years of marriage, the couple decided to divorce. D Imman married computer engineer Monicka in April 2008, and they have two daughters, Veronica Dorothy Imman and BlessicaKathy Imman.

He penned, “I am truly grateful to all of my well-wishers and ardent music fans who have been so supportive throughout this process. Monicka Richard and I have legally divorced by mutual consent as of November 2020, as our lives have taken us down different paths. We are no longer husband and wife. I ask that all of our well-wishers, music fans, and the media respect our privacy and assist us in moving on and forward. Thank you so much for your patience, love, and support -D Imman,”

Imman, who has written music for over 100 films in South Indian languages, made his debut as a composer in 2002 with the Tamil film Thamizhan. He has worked on several popular Tamil films, including Kumki, Jeeva, Rajini Murugan, TikTikTik, and KadaiKuttySingam. In terms of his professional career, D Imman’s most recent film, Annaatthe, starring Rajinikanth, was a box office success.
