Chiyaan Vikram, as we all know, is very famous for his versatility. His characters vary with every movie and the effort he applies to achieve each is impeccable. Also, personally is son Dhruv Vikram has also entered the film industry and is beginning to gain recognition. Adding a feather to his cap, Vikram has now become a grandpa. The actor’s daughter Akshitha has given birth to a baby girl this afternoon.

During various occassions, Vikram has talked anout how excited he is to become a grandpa and how he cherishes every moment of taking care of his daughter.

The family had earlier had a simple celebration when Akshita broke the news to her parents; father Vikram and mother Shyla, that she was pregnant.

Akshita married her long-time beau Manu Ranjith, son of FMCG honcho CK Ranganathan, in 2017. The wedding took place at former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi’s residence in Gopalapuram. Interestingly, Manu is the great-grandson of the DMK supremo. Pictures of the couple seeking the blessings of M Karunanidhi had then gone viral on social media. A grand reception was later held in Chennai in which the who’s who of the industry was present.

On the professional front, Vikram has Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and Cobra. He is also in talks with Lokesh Kanagaraj for his next.
