In the year 2011, Karthi announced that he is all set to marry a gold medalist in English Literature – Ranjani. “Actually, my mother has been looking out for a girl for a long time now. Arranged marriage did sound like a scary option, but when I met Ranjani and spoke to her for over an hour, I was convinced that she was the one for me,” he further added, “I’m very happy.” Ranjani’s parents hail from Erode.

The couple was then blessed with a baby girl named Umayaal who was born in 2013. Karthi has shared yet another happy news with his fans today. He confirmed that the couple has now been blessed with a baby boy. He took to social media to confirm the news. “Dear friends and family, we are blessed with a boy baby. We can’t thank enough our doctors and nurses who took us through this life changing experience. need all your blessings for the little one. Thank you god!” Wrote Karthi on his social media.
