Anusuya, a 25-year-old employee in a Kolathur Medical shop, is a resident of Putthagaram, near Puzhal. She was married to her husband Suresh (28) only a few years ago but tragedy struck this couple when the young woman allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her male friend, Murasolimaran (22), a friend from her hometown in Villupuram.

Anusuya mixed sleeping pills in dosa batter and served it to her husband on Sunday night. The couple has a 4-year-old son. While Anusuya recently joined work, Suresh worked in a meat shop. It has been reported post interrogation that the couple used to quarrel frequently.

According to The Hindu, Anusuya was being physically tortured by Suresh which left her in mental agony. She had reportedly told the police that she decided to eliminate him so as to end her suffering.

After poisoning her husband on Sunday night, Anusuya filed a complaint at the nearby Police Station that her husband had died of intoxication before she returned home from work. She had also narrated the same story to her neighbours to avoid suspicion.

However, the Police grew suspicious over her reason and decided to interrogate the scenario. The autopsy report confirmed that it was indeed a case of murder, reported The Times of India.
