Born on May 15 1967, Madhuri Dixit was a bright student studying at the Divine Child High School in Mumbai. Her parents Shankar and Snehlata Dixit were from a middle-class working family. Madhuri won numerous awards for her dancing skills in school and college.

 

 

After struggling for years, she made her debut in Abodh when she was 17-years-old. Though the film failed to collect box office collections, Madhuri’s acting skills were recognized and she was flooded with movie offers.
