Catfight, What: How Trisha And Nayanthara Ended A Decade Long Catfight Created By Media!

Actresses proving that all’s well between them!

Trisha and Nayanthara two of the topmost leading ladies in the South film industry today. The actors have been choosing some films with great meaty roles. While Trisha is busy shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, while awaiting the releases of a few more films. Nayanthara is busy shooting for Netri Kann, Mookuthi Amman and Kaathuvakkula Rendu Kadhal. Two have their own fandoms today and are doing great for themselves. However, media created the speculations that the two were not in talking terms and are fighting professionally.

According to reports carried in 2008, the catfight between Trisha and Nayanthara started due to Tamil film Kuruvi. Apparently, both ladies were being considered for the film but it eventually went to Trisha. While the reports stated they fought for professional reason, Trisha in a throwback interview revealed ‘It was personal and due to some mutual friends’.

But, Trisha and Nayanthara seem to be pretty clear about their equation. While Trisha stated, “Nayanthara and I have been in the industry for more than ten years and a lot of the issues between us was media created even though there was one personal issue between us which I don’t want to get into. It was never because of work, but because of mutual friends and mutual people who we knew. Then too we did not have a tiff, but we didn’t talk for some time and then we started talking. Nayan and I are competitive, but we both wish each other well,” said Trisha.

While Nayanthara stated, “Nayan has been in this industry for donkeys years, more than a decade to be precise. I think most the issues Nayan and I had was media created. Yes, we had a little fallout but that was not professional. It was personal and due to some mutual friends we had. We didn’t talk for a while but we never fought.”

These speculations about catfights between actresses seem to be absolutely silly. Unfortunately, the media finds it interesting to create these rumours only between actresses more than actors which is unacceptable and unfair!
