After a super long wait, the trailer of Samantha’s upcoming film titled ‘Yashodha’ was released recently. Directed by the Hari-Harish duo, the movie’s trailer showed Samantha in a pregnancy care centre, getting into trouble because of some illegal activities taking place there. The trailer suggests that the movie is based on surrogacy and pregnancy. This movie of Samantha is slated to release on November 11th. Meanwhile, Samantha recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with an auto-immune condition called Myositis. She is currently undertaking treatment for the same. Many from the film fraternity shared their prayers for her speedy recovery, and advised her that ‘This too shall pass’.

Now, the team of Samantha’s Yashoda have released BTS footage of her action sequences from the movie. The action choreographer of the film, Yannick Ben, has spoken about his experience working in the film. He said, “We have always tried to make sure that the actor is safe. First, we train with the stunt performers so they know the exact timing when they have to put in every action. After which, we put the actor into the fight. And in that way, we ensure that everything is safe for the actor.” Samantha is seen performing the stunts taught by Yannick in the video. She is seen in a hospital scrub kind of outfit along with a black jacket.

The choreographer then shared why he likes working with Samantha. “I like working with Samantha as she is very dedicated. Every time I show her the choreography she’s really willing to give her best to do something good. And as action directors, we want actors who are ready to give themselves fully for the action sequences.” Talking about his style of action choreography, he said that he likes to keep it real. He has also shared he likes to keep it close to what can actually happen in real life. Ben added his stunts borrow styles from boxing, kickboxing, Judo, and mixed martial arts (MMA). Samantha, after the release of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, is awaiting the release of Shaakuntalam. The film, directed by Gunasekhar, is a Telugu mythological film based on Kalidasa’s Shaakuntalam. The film also stars Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in titular roles. The latest update from the team is the release date of the film. The makers have revealed that the project will be out in cinema halls in November this year. Samantha has been on a signing spree in recent times. Even while she awaits the release of Yashodha and Shaakunthalam, she is working on many other projects and is also signing a few more. For example, the actor is all set to make her Hollywood debut with ‘Arrangements of Love’ in which she is likely to play a queer woman.
