Vijay and Trisha have been the most celebrated onscreen couple. Once they were so popular that even off screen they were inseparable best friends. Films like Ghilli and Thirupaachi were a blockbuster hit. Although films like Aathi and Kuruvi were not a commercial success, we still loved watching these two onscreen. After that, Vijay and Trisha never worked together.

Looks like it might happen pretty soon and we can only hope for it. Vijay is currently shooting for his next untitled film with Atlee which also stars Nayanthara in the lead. Vijay is pairing up with Nayanthara after a very long time too. After Atlee’s film, Vijay is all set to begin his next with Managaram fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. The discussion is going on for the female lead. Initially, the ‘Geetha Govindham‘ actress Rashmika Mandana was in talks with the directors. Rumours were rife post that that Trisha is also being considered for the role.

 

 

But the team has released a statement that was quoted saying, “These are baseless rumors. We haven’t decided any female lead for Lokesh’s film, he should first complete the post-production work of Kaithi and Vijay sir should complete the shoot of Atlee’s film. Only after wrapping their respective commitments, they will sit and discuss the rest of the cast.”

Well, we could only hope that these baseless rumours actually turn out to be true as Vijay and Trisha’s onscreen chemistry is simply unbeatable.

On the professional front, Trisha has Raangi, Paramapadham Vilayattu up for release and 1818 in production stage.
