The film will mark one of Aishwarya’s proper commercial release. The actress also has a lot of work to look forward to. Starring in Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai with actor Dhanush, the actress plays one of the female leads. Aishwarya plays Padma in the film, said to be Dhanush’s lover. The film, set in the 1980s North Madras, is being made into three parts and will focus on a gangster living in a village in North Madras, covering over three decades of his life.
She also recently starred in a music video produced by Gautham Menon’s Ondraga Original. Titled ‘Bodhai Kodhai’, the music video is a romantic one composed by Karthik with lyrics by Madhan Karky.
Aishwarya will also play a cricketer from a small town in Arunraja Kamraj’s Kanna. She’s also a part of Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which is also slated for a September release.
Saamy Square, directed by Hari, has mostly been shot in Chennai, Karaikudi, Delhi, Mussoorie and Nepal. Saamy Square is the sequel to blockbuster Saamy, which was one of the biggest commercial hits in Vikram’s career about 15 years ago. The film’s trailer was released last month and includes all the juicy bits from the upcoming film, with the character going on a roll punching and beating people in front of him.
