Vijay Sethupathi sported the role of a villain in the Telugu film and will reprise his role in the Tamil version too. Apart from that, Sethupathi will also be producing this film along with Mythri Movie Makers. It is to be noted that Vijay Sethupathi has played the role of a villain to both the father and the son.

The film is said to go on floors early next year and an official announcement is expected to be made when Jason returns to Chennai. Buchi Babu Sana who helmed the Telugu version will also be directing the Tamil version.
On the professional front, post lockdown, Vijay Sethupathi will begin his first schedule of Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal which also stars Nayanthara and Samantha Akkineni in lead roles. He is also awaiting the release of his next film Master alongside Thalapathy Vijay and Malavika Mohanan. The film, which was supposed to release on April 14th now awaits a workable release date after the Corona virus Pandemic lockdown gets effectively relaxed by the Government of India.
