Television actress Priyanka, who is known for her role as Jothika in the Tamil serial Vamsam, was found dead today in her apartment in Chennai’s Valasaravakkam. It is reported that she committed suicide due to marital problems in her life. Known for her role as the protagonist in the serial made by actress Ramya Krishnan, her alleged suicide has come as quite a shocker.

According to The News Minute, her body has been sent to Royapettah Government Hospital fan or autopsy and the police have also registered a case. Her body was found this morning by her domestic worker.

Priyanka, apart from featuring in Sun TV’s Vamsam, she also starred in the channels other shows Aboorva Ragangal, Bairavi, and Sabitha Engira Sababathi for Raj TV. She was also a freelance anchor.
