Breaking: Popular Tollywood Actor Says Women Are Only Fit For Sex!

While everyone around the world strives for gender equality, there are some people who really do not know the depth of it. Especially when celebrities have the power to speak in the public, they must only learn to spread good thoughts and deeds. However, popular Telugu actor Chalapathi Rao took media and Freedom of Speech for granted and spoke something that should have never been said. During a popular reality TV show, the character artist said that “Women are not injurious to mental peace, they’re fit for sleeping with men.”

However, one thing stays unambiguous – why did the anchor ask the question “Are women injurious to mental peace?” Is that even the right kind of question to ask. Oh, and the anchor was a woman herself. It’s high time such questions are encouraged in the name of Humour and TRP for a channel. The male anchor encouraging the actor’s comment immediately called it a “super comment”. Tollywood’s stars Rakul Preet Singh and Naga Chaitanya were also present promoting their film ‘Ra Randoi Veduka Chuddam’. While Rakul couldn’t believe what she heard, Naga Chaitanya was laughing.

While it isn’t clear whether their reactions were to this comment, or were edited into the video later, neither of them decided to speak out at the event. However, many actors from Tollywood took it to social media to express their anger and hatred towards the comment. Watch the video and comments below:

This did not go well on social media and fans to celebrities trashed the actor for his careless comments:

Finally, Nagarjuna Akkineni had a strong statement to say:

Actor Chalapathi Rao, looking at all the tweets and posts, finally responded back with a video. In that, he said:

Reacting to the controversy around his comment, the actor wondered “why the media feels what I said is so wrong.”

“Can you even ask that question? What does ‘women being injurious to mental peace’ even mean? Do we sleep with snakes? No. That’s why I said women are harmless and that’s why we sleep with them. I don’t even know why the media feels what I said is so wrong. Some channel, which does not know Telugu, published it and everyone else spread it again and again like cancer. I have never put women down. We look at women like mothers and sisters with respect always. Jai Mahila Lokam,” the actor said in a video.
