Khushbu was last seen in cinemas with a special appearance in the 2018 film Traffic Ramasamy and has not played a full-length feature role in cinema since the 2007 biopic Periyar. She does have the unreleased James Vasanthan directed Oh Antha Naatkal in her kitty, however. Khushbu is reuniting with the Darbar actor after 26 years. But, she is also all set to do a full-fledged film after 9 years.
D. Imman has been roped in to compose music for Thalaivar 168, marking the reuniting of Siva and him after the massive success of 2019 Pongal blockbuster Viswasam, which starred Ajith.
The shooting of Thalaivar 168 commenced on December 18th, and the completed film is set to hit movie theatres for Deepavali 2020 and will be Rajnikanth’s second release of the year following A.R. Muragadoss’ Darbar, which is scheduled for a Pongal release.
Talking to JFW about her role in the film, the actress said, “There is wonderful chemistry, there is going to be fun and there is going to be extravagance but definitely the chemistry will have a world of difference. It would definitely be an unforgettable film for the audience.”
It was only recently when Khushbu had spoken to JFW about her comeback, her roles and what she would want out of her roles when she returns to the big screen. Looks like it she has landed into the role she had been scouting for.
