Jyothika’s role in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi was groundbreaking. Apart from this being Nayanthara’s second film, Jyothika’s role was impeccable and in fact, Rajinikanth was lauded for giving an actress a major role. Her performance was critically acclaimed and it still remains one of the most entertaining films.

When Raghava Lawrence announced that he would be sporting the lead role in Chandramukhi 2, Jyothika was the ultimate target. It is currently being speculated that the actress would yet again take on the role of the female lead in the film. Directed by P Vasu, Raghava Lawrence is said to sport the role of Rajinikanth’s famous Vettaiyan Raja. Jyothika has been reportedly approached by the team. However, Jyothika’s response remains unknown.

In fact, the team is planning give her a dual role in the film. However, Jyothika has not confirmed her presence in the film yet and if she denies doing the role, the makers would have to have a backup.

Well, Jyothika would be an ideal choice for the sequel as well. We will have to wait and see what the actress opts for.

On the professional front, Jyothika’s Ponmagal Vandhaal is all set to release on an OTT platform. Meanwhile Raghava Lawrence’s last blockbuster was Kanchana 3 which starred Oviya and Vedhika in the lead.
