Indhuja is set to play a pivotal role in the film which will see Nayanthara play the titular character of Amman. Nayanthara is returning to play the lead character in a film after the success of Airaa last year.
In a recent interview, Indhuja talked about her one true inspiration. The actress seems to be in awe of India’s evergreen heartthrob Milind Soman’s mother Usha Soman. On July 3rd, she turned 81 and has been doing some pushups. A rather proud son shared a glimpse of that on social media. “3rd July 2020. Celebrating 81 amazing years in the best way. happy birthday Aai,” he wrote.

On the professional front, Indhuja had to act her parts for Mookuthi Amman during a shooting session in Nagercoil and has finished her portions of the film. She is eagerly anticipating the releases of her other two projects of 2020; A Senthilkumar’s Khaki, where she will be playing the lead alongside Vijay Antony, and Netrikann, which also coincidentally stars Nayantara. Netrikann will be produced by Vignesh Sivan.
Mookuthi Amman will not only mark RJ Balaji’s directorial debut but also will be helming the screenplay and dialogue. He also is reportedly playing a crucial role in the film.
Although no release date has been confirmed, it is set to hit the theatres next year.
