The biggest reality show in Telugu, which is hosted by Akkineni Nagarjuna, has earned the highest ever TRP rating in the last two seasons. It has garnered 17.92 TRP for the third season’s first episode. Smashing the records Akkineni Nagarjuna has proved to be more popular on the small screen than Junior NTR and Nani with the launch episode of his reality TV show Bigg Boss Telugu 3.
No commoner: The show has no commoners participating this season. All the fifteen contestants are celebrities raging from singers, TV artists, actors/actress, anchor etc.
Real life couple: For the very first time, a real life star couple became a part of Bigg Boss Telugu. Actor Varun Sandesh and his wife Vithika Sheru steped into the Big Boss house together. Varun is famous for romantic films such as Happy Days and Kotta Bangaru Lokam whereas Vithika is well-known for her performance in Prema Ishq Kadhal and Paddanandi Premalo Mari.
Controversies: Even before the show began, a petition was filed in the Telangana High Court against the obscenity and vulgarity in the show. According to a report, Nagarjuna has increased security outside his house and outside the house of the Bigg Boss Telugu makers in case the protests take a violent turn.
When the news was released about BB3 new host, social media did not welcome the idea. Season 1 and 2 of this reality show was previously hosted by Rama Rao Jr. and Nani. Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna was being trolled on social media for accepting the offer to host Star Maa’s hit reality TV show Bigg Boss Telugu 3, which he had called voyeuristic during the promotion of Devadas. He initially told that he has nothing good to say about the show. Later on he said that he is a collector of experience and loves to try new things.
Pregnancy test: Bigg Boss 3′ Telugu show organizers conducted pregnancy tessts on female participants to ensure that there would be no unforeseen case of abortion(s) in the house in case any accident happens because of jostling, etc.
Pandu the Monkey: The small monkey toy was seen clinging to Nagarjuna’s finger while he hosted the show. This added to the cute humorous appeal.
Latest update: The second week’s elimination episode in Bigg Boss house saw the eviction of Jaffar. While stepping out, distressed Jaffar hinted that Varun Sandesh is trying to play a game with Sreemukhi. He warned Varun Sandesh not to make allegations that Baba Bhaskar is playing a mind game in the house.
The nominations procedure started in the house and Varun being the captain cannot be in the nominations. This weeks nominated housemates are Tamannah, Punarnavi, Rahul, Vithika, and Baba Bhaskar.
