In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old Kannada playback singer Sushmita HS tragically died taking her own life. Sushmita HS was at her mother’s residence in Nagarbhavi in Bengaluru when she decided to commit suicide there. It has been reported that she was absolutely normal that day and was having dinner while happily chatting with her younger brother Sachin.

Sushmita married Sharath, a manager working at a car showroom in the year 2018. Reportedly after a fight with her husband, Sushmita had visited her mother’s residence. One evening, Sushmita sent across a WhatsApp message to her mother and her brother where she told them about her troubled marriage and how she was being ill-treated by her in-laws and husband which has made her take this extreme step.

As the case continues, Sushmita’s parents have now decided to donate her eyes. According to reports, both the families got into a fight right outside the hospital. Talking to media, Sushmitha’s mother revealed that the gold, which was given to their daughter during her marriage was sold by the singer’s husband to build a house, following which he was forcing her to leave the house.

Her brother Sachin read the message at around 5:30 and rushed to his sister’s room where he found her hanging, reported the Police.

Her WhatsApp message read:

“Amma, please forgive me. Sharath (Kumar) used to torture me after listening to his mother Geetha. I have suffered for my own mistake. My in-laws Geetha, Vaidehi, and Sharath are responsible for my death. They should be punished for making me take this extreme step… If I spoke a word they would tell me to get out of the house. Sharath was so stubborn, he never listened to me. I do not want to die in my husband’s house. If they are not be punished, my soul will not rest. Please bury or cremate my body in our native KR Pete and let my brother Sachin conduct the last rites. Amma, do not feel (bad) for me. Take care of Sachin who will be with you.”
