In 2010, Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza tied the knot with Pakistani Cricket player Shoaib Malik. They had two separate wedding ceremonies, one in Hyderabad. India and another in Sialkot, Pakistan. They then became parents in 2018, when Sania gave birth to her son Izhaan Mirza Malik. However, speculations are that things are not great between Sania and Shoaib. For a while now, rumours are strife that the couple is most likely to step in for a divorce. Sania’s Instagram story yesterday, seems to ascertain this rumour even more.

The Tennis player took to her Instagram story to share a cryptic message. Her story read, “Where do broken hearts go? To find Allah.” This quote was written both in Arabic as well as English. So far, the reason for bitterness between the high-profile couple is unknown. But a few reports reveal that Shoaib allegedly cheated on Sania during one of his TV shows. Pakistani media also reported that the couple has drifted apart and has been living separately for some time now. If this is true, then the couple is also co-parenting Izhaan for the time being. However, neither of them has officially commented on the matter. Amidst such rumours though, such a mysterious post seems to ascertain their separation.

Sania Mirza has been on the professional tour since 2003 and has been at the top of her game for the past 19 years. She has six Grand Slam titles and was a former world No.1 in Doubles. Mirza had a successful singles career, reaching a high of world No. 27 in mid-2007, making her the highest-ranked female player from India. In January this year, the player announced her retirement from the  WTA tour after losing in the first round of the Australian Open’s women’s doubles event with her Ukrainian partner Nadiia Kichenok.
