AR Rahman And Sachin Tendulkar Have The Best News For You!

The two amazing legends.

AR Rahman released the Sachin Anthem for the upcoming biopic Sachin: A Billion Dreams yesterday. The movie is about the life story of one of India’s greatest cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar.

On Tuesday, AR Rahman revealed that 14 versions of the anthem were actually created before finally fixing on the current version. Rahman launched the song and said, “We made 14 versions of the song and initially it was a rap with ‘Sachin Sachin’ chant (of his fans) which I liked a lot. But then we changed it musically, tried to encapsulate the energy, emotions of his journey and fans, and finally, we finished the song last week.”

When asked about Sachin’s contribution towards the song, the master blaster said, “What can you say standing in front of the Mount Everest? He is the ultimate, right?”

The song featured a video of the journey of Sachin from childhood to batting on the fields. Sachin revealed that the chant was originally invented by his mother. He said, “My mother started it actually. I used to go play downstairs and to call me back home, my mother would call ‘Sachin Sachin’.” He also revealed that the picture of the younger Sachin was taken at home when he was four or five-years-old.

The Sachin Anthem was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Kaly. The biopic will be released on 26 May, 2017. The movie will feature Sachin Tendulkar himself in the lead.
