Anushka Shetty, Madhavan starrer Nishabdam to Release on an OTT Platform!

Multilingual Film in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and English!

Following Jyothika’s film Ponmagal Vandhal , Nishabdam (Silence) directed by Hemant Madhukar, starring Anushka Shetty and Ranganathan Madhavan will likely be released on an OTT platform.  The initial release date was supposed to be April 2, 2020, however, like many other films the release got indefinitely delayed due to the lockdown

Under the direction of Hemant Madhukar, Nishabdam (Silence) is a thriller film that is coming out as a multilingual in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and English.

With the implementation of the nation-wide lockdown, the usage of OTT platforms has risen. It also seems like producers and directors are willing to take advantage of the situation by releasing their films on OTT platforms.

It is said that the makers of the film are in talks with the streaming platform, amazon prime video and are set to come to a conclusion on the release date by the end of the week. It is alleged that the makers of the film are ready to sell the rights to the company even if they get only a marginal profit. The burden of interest has seemed to have put movie makers in a tough spot. While the loan amount taken to make these films can be repaid later, the interest levied on such loans are pushing filmmakers to release movies online.

The final copy of the movie, Nishabdam is said to be under production and the makers are working on the post-production of the film, which was delayed due to the lockdown..

The trailer of the film had received good response from the audience. In the film,  Anushka will be seen playing the role of Sakshi, a mute artist.

Earlier, it was announced that amazon Prime will be premiering and streaming six new, unreleased Indian Films which include Anu Menon’s Shakuntala Devi with Vidya Balan in the lead, Jyothika starrer, the legal drama Ponmagal Vandhal, Keerthy Suresh‘sstarrer Penguin (Tamil and Telugu), Sufiyum Sujatayum (Malayalam), Law (Kannada) and French Biryani (Kannada). The movies will be exclusively available on Prime Video over the next three months.
