After Bhaagamathie, Anushka Shetty will soon be seen in yet another big project. Directed by Jayendra, the film will feature Telugu actor Gopichand. Unconfirmed sources say that the film will be an action entertainer and will be paired opposite the actor after a while. What’s more? She’s lost some weight for this role.

The film will begin once Gopichand finishes his other work commitments, giving Anushka enough time for her to focus on the weight loss. The film will be produced by Kiran Muppavarapu and V Vijay of Naa Nuvve fame.

Anushka and Gopichand have, in the past, acted in Lakshyam (2007) and Souryam (2008) together. The actress’ last film released in January this year with many lauding her performance as IAS officer Chanchala Devi who finds herself in a spooky turn of events. Prior to that, she featured in the magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion that released last year and was met with much applause for her rather strong role. The film is also the highest grossing Indian film ever!

Meanwhile, Anushka is currently in the middle of a few pilgrimage trips. Reports suggest that her relationship with her Baahubali co-star, Prabhas continues to thrive with the two video calling often to stay in touch.
