Sasikumar, best known for his hard hitting village dramas, will be playing a cameo in the film. A source reveals that he has started filming for his part in the film. His upcoming projects include a small cameo in Dhanush-Gautham Menon’s ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thotta’, which is slated for a Diwali release. He also has the sequel of ‘Nadodigal 2’ in the pipeline.
The film’s cast, apart from him, includes Vijay Sethupathi, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha and Sanath. The film’s second look was released recently, showcasing Rajinikanth in an avatar of a villager with his handlebar moustache on point and the sun rising behind him, reminiscent of his film ‘Thalapathi’.

Produced by Sun Network, the superstar is working Karthik Subbaraj for the first time, hinting that the announcement of his political party will probably not come anytime soon. The film also marks the coming together of Simran and Rajinikanth for the first time, considering she has acted along side his contemporaries including Kamal Haasan. This is a first for Trisha and Rajinikanth, too, and the actress had expressed it a “dream coming true” when the announcement was made.
