Singer and actor Andrea, who was last seen in Aranmanai 3 as the lead, is known for picking unique scripts and roles among other known roles as well. Latest reports are that she has chosen to an untitled fantasy film with director Dinesh Selvaraj, known for Thupakki Munai.

She is all set to play the role of a Mermaid, in a first of a kind mermaid fantasy film in Tamil. A source said, “This will be a fantasy drama that will have Andrea as a mermaid. This is a first-of-its-kind mermaid film made in India. Andrea is a talented performer and since she already has the height and the look to pull off this role, the team chose her.”

According to reports, Actor Sunainaa is also playing a prominent role in the film. Bindumadhavi and Munishkanth are to play supporting characters, along with 50 other children who are also cast in the film. The shooting for the film is currently ongoing in Chennai, as a huge set, worth Rs. 50 crore has been set up in T. Nagar.

Meanwhile, Andrea is also working on a number of films including, Maaligai, Pisaasu 2, Kaa, No Entry and Vattam. In 2021, she sang the Tamil version of the song Oo Antava, from Pushpa.
