Directed by Vivek of Athiran fame, The Teacher is Amala Paul’s upcoming film in Malayalam. The film also stars Hakkim Shah, Chemban Vinod Jose, Manju Pillai, Vinita Koshy, I M Vijayan, Prashanth Murali, Dinesh Prabhakar, Senthil Krishna, and Nandu. The trailer of the film was released recently, and now the release date has also been revealed.
The movie is all set to be available for streaming on Netflix. The movie, which is to be released on 23rd December, seems to follow the life of Amala Paul whose perfect life takes a turn after a video of her goes viral on social media. Socially alienated, the lead character fights to remove the black mark from her name and fights her battle on her own.
The technical crew of the film consists of PV Shajikumar who wrote the screenplay and dialogues, with Anu Moothedath as the cinematographer. The music is composed by Dawn Vincent and editing is handled by Manoj.
On the work front, Amala Paul who was last seen in Cadaver has a number of films in her kitty. Her Malayalam films Christopher and Aadujeevitham are in various stages of production. She is meanwhile filming for Dvija in Malayalam and is shooting for a special appearance in Bholaa. Her film, Adho Andha Paravai Pola has been delayed indefinitely at the moment.
