Amala had earlier talked about her father not wanting her to take up a career in acting even though he was very much a part of the theater during his college days. It was her brother Abhijith Paul who supported Amala throughout her choice of choosing a career in acting.

On the professional front, Amala Paul recently released the teaser of her next in Kollywood titled Adho Andha Paravai Pola. Apart from that, Amala has the anthology of Lust Stories which is being made in Telugu, Aadujeevitham alongside Prithviraj in Malayalam and yet another film titled Cadaver in Tamil.
