According to reports, Amala Paul had said that the role was clearly tailor-made for her as she didn’t have to audition for it. “When Naresh’s (Malhotra) project came by, I was kicked. He had seen some of my work in Tamil and approached me for the project. I met him for a narration and was excited. He had already seen my works and was sure that I could pull it off. So, there was no audition. The role was tailor-made for me,” she said.
She also admitted that she had been getting several offers from Bollywood but nothing clicked as much as this one. While there’s not much known about the film, it will go on floors in October this year.
Incidentally, Amala Paul is the second Kollywood actress to make her debut in Hindi cinema with Arjun Rampal. Last year, Aishwarya Rajesh made her Bollywood debut in Daddy, paired up with Arjun Rampal in the film. She played his wife and her role was much appreciated even though the film received mixed reviews.
