Amala Akkineni returns to Malayalam Movies after 25 years. She is set to make a comeback in the movie C/o Saira Bhanu directed by Antony Sony. Amala played a cameo in Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2016) as Emraan Hashmi’s mother. The actress had taken a sabbatical post her marriage but is now a part of C/o Saira Bhanu. The 90’s heart throb who ruled the Tamil and Telugu film industry is also the co-founder of The Blue Cross, Hyderabad.
In the movie, Amala Akkineni will be seen with Malayalam Female Superstar Manju Warrier. Amala plays the role of an advocate in the movie while Manju plays the role of a post-woman hailing from a middle class Muslim family in Kochi. Amala is currently in Kerala, shooting for the film.
Amala’s last Malayalam Movie was Ulladakkam in the year 1991 with Mohanlal.
