According to a source close to the Kapoor and Bhatt families, Alia’s maternal grandfather, N Razdan, is in poor health and has expressed his desire to see Alia marry Ranbir. Razdan, too, has become fond of Ranbir and adores him. According to the source, a definitive date has yet to be determined. However, as of now, both Ranbir and Alia are planning a wedding on April 17th. However, depending on Alia’s grandpa, N. Razdan’s health, this date might be pushed back a day or two.
According to many reports, the Shaadi Squad and Mehendi specialist Veena Nagda, who is said to have been recruited for Alia and Ranbir’s wedding, have confirmed that they have not been approached by the stars for an April celebration. However, a source told the media house that the wedding would be a modest, private family ceremony between the two families. The wedding will be either a one-day ceremony or a two-day celebration with just close family members.
For the time being, Ranbir and Alia are working out the logistics of the RK Studio in Chembur, where the function will be held. There have been no confirmations since the couple is consulting with close family members to see if they are available and is attempting to coordinate a day when everyone can attend. The insider said that this event does not need to be an elaborate occasion because Ranbir and Alia have been as good as married to both families. This is a modest gathering and celebration to honour Alia’s grandfather’s request.
The couple was first seen together by the audience in the Lays chips add commercial
