According to various reports, it is stated that Akhil Akkineni, the son of Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni, calls off his wedding with Business tycoon GVK Reddy’s granddaughter and fashion designer, Shriya Bhupal. It is speculated that the reason for their decision was due to the conflict between the families regarding the wedding preparations and arrangements; the couple was also having compatibility issues.
The couple had been dating each other for almost 2 years before they had a grand engagement. The couple took their love to their parents only a year back. The engagement ceremony was a royal affair and it was attended by about 200 odd guests consisting family members and friends of the film and business fraternity. The event also had Anup and playback singer Ankit Tiwari performing.The engagement ceremony had some A-listers on the guest list. From Shilpa Reddy to Samantha, many graced the ceremony of the duo. The couple had planned to have a destination wedding in Italy. About 600 guests were expected to fly to the wedding destination.
