The starcast of Mani Ratnam’s next ‘Ponniyan Selvan’ may be constantly changing but it is confirmed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen playing a vital role in the film. Aishwarya initially began her career with Mani Ratnam with the film ‘Iruvar’. She then went on to become a famous actress down South as much as she was in Bollywood.

It was earlier speculated that Aishwarya Bachchan will have a pivotal role in the film. It has now been confirmed that she is very much a part of the film and that in fact, she will be seen doning the role of a villain named Nandhini whose character is manipulative and villainous.

It has also been speculated that this multistarrer film will star Amitabh Bachan, Jayam Ravi, Keerthy Suresh, Vikram, Karthi, Mohan Babu, Amala Paul and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.

The film which will be multilingual has been confirmed by Bollywood media that Aishwarya Rai will very much be a part of the film.
